Encapsulated limit switches for 'Astute' class nuclear submarines

Craig and Derricott have been supplying specialist electrical equipment to the MOD for more than 50 years and have nearly 500 products NATO codifed. The latest product is the 'DH9' encapsulated limit switch, which has been designed specifically for use on the new 'Astute' class of nuclear submarines being built by BAe Systems Marine Ltd at their Barrow shipyard.

Used for vital valve monitoring, the assembly consists of a totally sealed limit switch incorporating a flying lead which is terminated with a high spec multi-pin plug.

The plug termination allows greater flexibility during installation. The assembly is designed to withstand complete submersion for long periods, and is the latest in a long line of Craig and Derricott specialist 'encapsulated' products in use across the world.
