Craig & Derricott is currently looking to recruit a for the role of Marketing Assistant. We are looking for a Marketing Graduate with a creative skillset or an existing Marketing Assistant seeking an exciting new challenge.

This role is a fantastic opportunity to immerse yourself in all areas of marketing while learning on the job and being fully supported by the Marketing Manager. You will be responsible for writing engaging content across all digital and offline business channels, as well the analysis of marketing activity, events and administrative support. Responsibilities will include:

  • Assist with the maintenance of the company website and social media, including content creation, imagery, pricing, SEO, functionality.
  • Help implement digital strategies to support online channel.
  • Assist with the creation of all digital and offline marketing content while ensuring it meets high quality standards and is within brand guidelines.
  • Provide support to all marketing functions as required.
  • Analysis of marketing activity using Google Analytics.
  • Excellent writing skills, able to write compelling and adaptable content.
  • Have a strong eye for detail, able to spot mistakes and proofread effectively.
  • Creating and managing email campaigns.
  • Conducting surveys and research.
  • Create and schedule engaging content for our social media as well as customer interactions.
  • Produce eye catching content for our company website.
  • Edit video footage for use across our social media channels.
  • Maintain a CRM database for email & LinkedIn distribution lists.
  • Assist with all external events.

Desired skills:

  • Marketing qualification preferred (or other academic qualification) or have completed a relevant apprenticeship or at least 6 months marketing experience in a professional capacity.
  • This position would suit a graduate with marketing experience.
  • Excellent IT skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, Indesign and Canva.
  • Good knowledge of digital marketing and social media.
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and organise work to achieve objectives on time.
  • Ability to use initiative/creativity to resolve problems.
  • Effective communication skills, orally, in writing and usual visual means.
  • Ability to implement brand guidelines to support marketing content creation.
  • Excellent attention to detail & project coordination skills.
  • Ability to be creative and self-sufficient.
  • Experience with online platforms, updating and creating (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn)
